Revision 2

Y6 Revision

Covers explanation writing about photosynthesis, MRS GREN and names of bones. Much use of interesting fonts from dafont.com. I'll add the downloads for this when my broken computer returns with the files on.

Second display covers main organs of human body made from projecting the image on coloured card and lots of cutting! Same with parts of flower. Daffodils and books add effect. Real plants for parts of a plant at the top.

Smell

Felt

Our Senses Y1 & 2

Each pot contains something which smells: garlic, washing up liquid, coffee granules, vinegar etc.

The little felt bags contain spices: ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves etc. Each child had one little bag to sniff and then had to use their sense of smell to find out who had the matching partner.

Materials Y3

I just tried to find objects that were made from different materials to encourage the children to think about why things are made from certain materials.  I tried to find some objects made from just one material, some from 2 (the glasses are a good example!) and some objects that could be made from 2 materials - e.g a wooden peg and a plastic peg.
