Division Methods

Interactive display for children to use during the teaching of division. Displays four methods of working out division including the sharing, grouping, repeated subtraction and repeated subtraction using a number line. The display explains what each method is and how to do it and allows the children to have a go at answering an example question on the board using each method.

Dinosaur Maths

The children constructed a 3D dinosaur model and then wrote a description of which 3D (and 2D) shapes they had used.

Capacity

The children brought in packaging from home and we looked carefully at what the items were packed in. The flaps at the bottom of the board are questions - How many g are there in a kg? answers are under the flap. The flap questions cover all units of measure

Display shows the different measures used in capacity and examples of childrens investigations (differentiated) with water and different sized containers.

To show the use of scales and the difference between g and KG.
